Lou’s BBQ opened in Huntington Beach, CA in 1992 as a gathering place for friends and neighbors. The tradition of Santa Maria style cooking dates back to the early 1800s when CA ranchers invited their friends and neighbors to barbecue over large red oak wood fire pits.

Following in this tradition, we cook our meats in a specially designed Red Oak slow cooking rotisserie. The juices drip onto the lower rotisserie items, slowly basting the food and embedding the unique flavors of our house spices into each cut of meat.

Our specialties include rotisserie roasted Tri-tip, Whole Chicken, Linguica Sausage, Pork, Turkey, and BBQ Ribs. We also serve the traditional Santa Maria Valley Pinquito beans with all our meals (upon request).

We offer indoor and outdoor seating and also a full menu Take-Out service.
